Fish oil keeps things flowing

As I’ve said many times before, good circulation is key to a healthy body. And a new study supports fish oil’s role in keeping circulation healthy.

Researchers gave 84 subjects with moderate risk of cardiovascular disease 1,500 mg of fish oil per day. After 8 weeks, the patients taking fish oil had significant improvement in endothelial function.

The endothelium, or inner lining of the blood vessels, is responsible for everything from blood coagulation to overall immune function. Endothelial dysfunction can lead to coronary artery disease and other heart ailments.

The patients in this study were able to ward all of those problems off with just 1,500 mg of fish oil a day. Just imagine the sorts of benefits they might have seen if they’d followed my recommendation  (3,000 mg a day).

While this was a small study, it’s just one more reason to make sure you’re taking a good, quality fish oil supplement every single day.
