Garlicky Tahini Sauce

Makes 1 cup


  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • generous pinch red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup water
  • coarse sea salt and freshly ground black pepper


  1. In a medium bowl, stir together the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Whisk in the water until you have a smooth, blended sauce.
  3. Season generously with salt and black pepper.

Note: Try this over a lamb dish or any steamed vegetable to give the dish a more exotic flair.
