The statin scam: These drugs are dangerous

I’ve been warning against statins for years.

Honestly, they might be my least favorite drug ever.

Yet, the mainstream keeps pushing them as the ultimate “solution” for heart disease—because they claim lowering cholesterol is the key to heart health.

But here’s what they won’t tell you…

More risk than benefit

Sure, statins lower cholesterol. But does that actually prevent heart disease?

Not nearly as much as Big Pharma claims.

Plus, in my opinion, statins’ health risks far outweigh any minor benefit.

But don’t just take my word for it—because new research exposes some major downfalls of statins…

For one, statins can increase your risk of Type 2 diabetes. In fact, research shows these drugs wreck blood sugar control—paving the way for even more metabolic problems (on top of cardiovascular issues).

Next, let’s not forget the long list of side effects—including, but not limited to, muscle pain, fatigue, cognitive issues, and liver damage.

And perhaps most importantly, the fact remains that inflammationnot high cholesterol—is typically the real culprit behind heart disease.

So, why does the mainstream keep pushing the cholesterol myth?

A smarter approach to ultimate heart health

Rather than relying on a dangerous, ineffective drug to ward off heart disease, try some simple lifestyle changes to lower inflammation instead.

Revamping your diet is a great place to start.

As I’ve shared many times before, I got my start working alongside Dr. Robert Atkins, who made the high-fat, low-carb ketogenic diet famous.

The main idea behind this diet is to achieve ketosis—where you switch your body’s main source of energy from sugar to alternative fuels called ketones (which your body forms by breaking down fat).

It’s an approach that’s fallen in and out of favor over the decades.

But the impact that ketosis has on the body’s inflammatory response makes it a powerful ally for your heart—and overall health.
