Why “one-size-fits-all” prostate support doesn’t work

If you’re a man over 50, you’re likely to have an enlarged prostate (technically known as benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH) — and all of the discomfort and embarrassment that comes with it.

In fact, you may have already been subjected to mainstream doctors pushing invasive and often ineffective treatments on you. Treatments that also come with serious side effects. Not to mention a high price tag. (And a terrifying list of potential side effects.)

In fact, according to a study from UCLA, treatments for BPH can vary in cost by a shocking 400 percent.

And here’s the kicker — researchers concluded there’s no conclusive proof that one conventional BPH treatment is better than the other.

So a $10,000 surgery might not be any more effective than a $10 drug. Well, I could have told them that!

And I could have also told them about all of the research showing how effective (and inexpensive) natural therapies can be at reducing BPH symptoms — like frequent urination, trouble urinating, dribbling after urination, and weak stream.

But what conventional doctors just don’t get is that BPH is not a one-size-fits-all condition.

And BPH symptoms aren’t always due to an enlarged prostate.

Sometimes inflammation is the cause of urination problems — a condition called prostatitis. Often, obesity and lack of exercise are the culprits, because they promote prostate growth and increase the risk of lower urinary tract symptoms.

My point is that when you have BPH symptoms, you need a doctor who looks at your complete urinary and prostate health. Not one who just automatically subjects you to expensive, ineffective, and sometimes even harmful treatments.

To find a doctor in your area who will take the time to get to know your personal history — and exploring natural therapies — contact the American College for Advancement in Medicine at 1-800-532-3688 or click here.

In the meantime, before you agree to any conventional treatment for BPH, I encourage you to take a minute to read the article “The Great BPH Scam” from the July 2015 issue of my Logical Health Alternatives newsletter.
