It’s prime time for the “winter blahs” to set in. But some new research shows there may be a simple solution.
According to a report published by Australian scientists in the journal Human Psychopharmacology taking a daily multivitamin may help boost your mood.
The study involved 50 healthy men. Half got a multivitamin, the other half got a placebo. After eight weeks, every person in the multivitamin group had a significant reduction in overall depression, anxiety, and stress levels. They also had an improvement in alertness and general daily functioning. The placebo group didn’t have any positive changes.
It just goes to show you that taking a good quality multivitamin, with a full spectrum of vitamins, minerals, and other important nutrients is the best way to lay a solid foundation for your overall health–physical, mental, and emotional.
