Tips to reduce cravings

Secrets of your success

Yesterday I mentioned going back over all the tips and strategies you’ve gathered to help you get back on track with your New Year’s Resolutions. Today I thought I’d share some of the great tips other readers have sent in.

Here are some of my favorites:

“Keep an object of clothing that you want to look great in on a hanger and when you have a craving–try it on.”

“Sometimes I buy the dark chocolate chips, or break the super dark bars with nibs into little pieces. I count out a certain number and put them on the pantry shelf. I can have one whenever I want. But only one and I have to suck on it–no biting allowed. That way the chocolate taste lasts a very long time. The dark chocolate is good for me, has few calories, and the taste tackles the temptation.”

“Satisfy your nose with basic, real things and you won’t miss the junk so much or at all. Cinnamon can be a real life saver.”
All of these are great ideas, and certainly worth a try. If you’ve got different tricks for tackling cravings and staying on track, I’d love to hear them. Send me an email to [email protected] or feel free to visit my Facebook page and post them there to share with other readers.
