More than 200 million people worldwide take statin drugs.
Yet, the evidence keeps stacking up against them, leading to one tragedy after another…
Blood sugar problems. Brain fog.
Research shows they may DESTROY one of your most vital organs…
Potent drug harms kidneys
An interesting new report linked the most potent statin on the market, rosuvastatin, to kidney damage.
The analysis included close to one million patients in the U.S. who were prescribed rosuvastatin or atorvastatin between 2011 and 2019.
Compared to atorvastatin, rosuvastatin users had a:
- 17 percent higher risk for proteinuria (protein in the urine)
- 15 percent higher risk for kidney failure
- 8 percent higher risk for hematuria (blood in the urine)
(Having protein or blood in the urine is typically indicative of kidney damage.)
Not only that, but 44 percent of patients suffering from severe kidney damage were prescribed a dangerously high dose… one that exceeded the maximum 10 mg/day dose recommended by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Could you imagine how quickly a nutritional supplement would be removed from the market if it caused this?
Conned from the top down
Now, if you’re like me, you might be wondering: If these drugs cause kidney damage… and kidney damage leads to high blood pressure… why are cardiologists doling out these drugs like candy?
Or: If rosuvastatin has been linked with excess risk for kidney damage in case reports and small trials (dating back to 2003) why are we just now hearing about it, 19 years later?
I’ll tell you why. It’s because Big Pharma controls our healthcare!
They have convinced us that they know what they’re doing—and that they’re the only ones to follow up on pharmaceutical drugs once they’re released to the market.
Not to mention, there’s little post-marketing surveillance to asses real-world risk from any new drug—let alone a high-potency statin like rosuvastatin!
Imagine taking the ideal situation for a drug to work… choosing the optimal patients, setting, and number of participants. Well, of course you get optimal results! But those results aren’t real.
So, while Big Pharma reaps in the profits, time and again… well, this time, we’re losing our kidneys.
